Our Story
SACA began humbly in a small home gym known as Flyger Fit, where Richard Flyger trained a handful of dedicated boxers with nothing but passion, discipline and a true love for the craft. What started as tight-knit crew quickly grew into a family. One built on hard work, respect and empowerment.

When Richard passed the reigns to Coach Shikhar, the vison expanded. Flyger Fit evolved into Flyger Combat Academy and our training moved into community halls across Papakura. The team also grew - boxers, kickboxers, beginners and experienced fighters all came under one roof, united by the drive to become better every day.

As the vison became bigger, so did the mission. We set out to become South Auckland's leading fight gym. A place where skill, culture and community come first. With that growth came our new name SACA - South Auckland Combat Academy as well as a commercial premisses.

Even with our evolution, one thing has never changed:
The tight, friendly, empowering vibe that started back in the Flyger Fit garage.
That spirit still guides us today - every class, every fight, every moment on the mats.
